CATHOLIC FUNERAL & BURIAL SERVICE- The Catholic Mutual Benefit Society (CMBS) of the Kuching Archdiocese provides assistance to bereaved families at the time of death. Their services include providing advice regarding Christian rituals, cemetery plots, columbarium, caskets, transportation, arrangement for funeral masses, wake prayers for the dead, etc..

Couples planning to get married are advised to attend this course at least six months (preferably more than 6 months) before their intended church wedding. The registration fee is RM80 per couple (including of lunch / tea breaks and books). SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI will be celebrated next Sunday, 22 June 2025 at 5 pm Mass in the Cathedral, followed by a candle light procession along Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg after the Mass. Candles will be on sale before Mass. All liturgical groups and parishioners coming for the said Mass are encouraged to join the procession.

 

The car parks in front of the Cathedral will be closed that evening. The Day Chapel will be reserved for the elderly and wheelchair bound. In order to facilitate the procession next Sunday evening, vehicles will be prohibited from parking along the main road outside the Cathedral compound where the procession will be taking place. Please follow the directives of our Security and RELA personnel.

 

We appeal for parishioners to donate any type of fresh flowers for the procession. Please bring them to St. Paul room, Ground floor, Parish Centre on Saturday, 21 June 2025 between 8 am - 12 noon.

COMMUNITY MASS will be celebrated for the Bread of Life Catholic Charismatic Covenant Community (BoL) on Friday, 27 June 2025, 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Day Chapel. All are welcome!

MENTAL HEALTH TALK SERIES IN MANDARIN will be organised as per below by the Association of Chinese Apostolates of the Kuching Archdiocese to empower and equip parishioners with the “know-how” to reach out to the vulnerable and broken-hearted living amongst us.

 

The speaker is Rev. Fr. Philip Chua from Holy Family Church, Kajang. Fr. Chua (a registered and licensed Counsellor under the Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia) also holds a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (Angelicum University) and a Master in Pastoral Theology.
